Foreign climbing teams should arrange the correct visa and permit category through a licensed local operator. The approved objective, approach and team list should match the submitted plan.

Leadership and safety

Environmental and community conduct

Good to know
Do all peaks require a mountaineering permit?
The official guidance uses the mountaineering visa category for peaks 6,500 metres and above. Lower objectives may fall under trekking rules depending on location and access status.
Can I submit everything independently?
Permit processing is normally coordinated by a licensed Pakistani tour operator after the related visa application is submitted.
Is rescue included automatically?
No. Teams should confirm insurance, rescue arrangements, communications and the exact support included in their expedition agreement.
