About the trek
The Spantik Base Camp and Haramosh La Trek approaches Golden Peak from Arandu, following remote valleys, moraine and glacier camps into the Spantik massif. After visiting the base-camp area, the route continues toward the high Haramosh La rather than returning by the same trail.
Crossing the pass opens a dramatic descent toward Kutwal Lake and the Haramosh Valley. This is a serious expedition-style trek involving glacier travel, a high pass, consecutive camping days and route decisions that remain dependent on snow, weather and local conditions.
